Finally, the NGS has been able to get going. Managed my first trip last week to the stunning Blackland House. The garden was bursting with colour - tulips, ranunculus and blossom with the promise of more; I may have to return in the summer! With over 3,600 gardens opening, there is an amazing selection from extensive country gardens and small, ingenious plots as well as allotments, community gardens and many others to visit. A local open garden is a great way to be inspired - design and planting that is more relevant and achievable to smaller gardens. And if you're still unable to get out the NGS have virtual garden tours to watch and enjoy.
