Autumn has rolled around again and its time tog et on top of garden chores before winter properly sets in. Rake up the fallen leaves from lawns, borders and pathways and, if you have room, store in bin bags to make leafmould. Once the lawn is cleared of leaves you can treat it to a autumn pamper - rake vigorously first to remove moss, thatch & creeping stems. Then spike all over with a fork to improve drainage - it will look at bit rough for a few days but will soon recover. After a rainy spell sprinkle the lawn with an autumn lawn feed to encourage strong roots and toughen the grass up for winter.
